ENVOY ENTERPRISES
envoy enterprises is a contemporary art space dedicated to the generation, presentation and promotion of contemporary visual arts practice. envoy enterprises' dynamic program of exhibitions, performances, concerts, artists' talks, publications, video and movie screenings, aims to provide opportunities for artists to exhibit their work within a context of current national and international practice.
The gallery space is divided into three areas:
CB. (the Cube) space for semi-permanent artist installations
EG. (the East Gallery) exhibition space
WG. (the West Gallery) exhibition space
D. (dialogue) distressed by the lack of continual creative discourse amongst the contemporary arts community and the lack of a proper forum to express ones identity, envoy enterprises created Dialogue, a curatorial program, which invites selected galleries and institution to create a project for one of envoy's three exhibition spaces. Its goal is to present a dialogue between artists, galleries and institutions that are not located in New York.
D. consists of an exhibition project (by one or more artists), which runs alongside, and in direct dialogue with envoy enterprises' project at that time.
HSH. (Home Sweet Home) performances and concerts are held at HSH., which is located beneath the gallery space.
In addition, envoy enterprises produces touring exhibitions and regularly participates in off-site projects.
